President Donald Trump is not likely to back down from proceeding with his reforms. He is not likely to let the opposition voices, as loud and hostile as they might be, deter him from his task.

The opposition is getting more hostile. Having failed at the ballot box many are gathering as mobs and some are resorting to bullying and beatings like Hitler’s Brownshirts. The Storm Detachment is taking its mass chaos to airports, city streets and public squares:

I like Michael Kruger of Reformed Seminary (Charlotte). He has tried to expose the errors of Bart Ehrman (UNC-Chapel Hill) regarding the Bible and NT studies and, I think, does good work.

Any discussion of the topic of whether America is a “Christian nation” ought to consider the opinion of the Supreme Court of the United States in the case Church of the Holy Trinity v. United States, 143 U.S. 457 (1892). The Court took a clear position in that case which Dr. Kruger should consider.

To cut to the chase, the Court states: “These, and many other matters which might be noticed, add a volume of unofficial declarations to the mass of organic utterances that this is a Christian nation.”  I have added headings in bold and italics.

Some Christians have temporarily lost their minds. They are voting for Hillary Clinton and not Donald Trump. They should vote for Trump. They should pray Hillary loses.

They have reasons they don’t like Trump. His comments caught on tape eleven years ago are bad. But they are not disqualifying. He said it was talk, not actions. It was eleven years ago. He has apologized. And there is no indication that he carries on that way now. Censorship is (has been) on the rise. In its current form it is masquerading as “freedom from expressions of intolerance.” Advocates of doublethink have given “censorship” the special newspeak treatment. Orwell would be impressed, maybe a little.

If you can’t suppress freedom of speech with a straight face, then shift the focus to that other great constitutional right, freedom not to hear.  No, it isn’t a constitutional right, but there seems to be an implicit push to make it one. This past June the Washington Post reported on the fact that ABC’s World News Tonight surpassed NBC’s Nightly News in the ratings. It was big news. The networks care because they want to make more money and higher ratings means higher ad revenues from companies wanting to place ads. Higher ratings means more eyeballs watching ads.  More eyeballs means more money.

The focus of the article was how ABC did it. How ABC did it is good news for the rest of us.

It seems unlikely that the Obama administration will disclose to Americans the whole story on the Iran deal.  We could hope for someone in the administration who would.  What will be the real Iran deal: the main deal, the side deals, and all the other deals that will be made later quietly for money and access?  We might find that there are some big outfits that are going to be making some big money doing business along the way.

Antony Sutton was a master researcher and first rate scholar at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.  He had guts; he was willing to publish the results of his research. What he found was shocking.  If you haven’t heard of his work before, you’re sure to say, “You have got to be kidding me!  That can’t be true.”

Among many other things, Sutton demonstrated that the Bolsheviks and the Soviet Union came to power and waged war through financial, technological and industrial deals with the west.  He demonstrated the same with regard to Hitler and the Nazis in Germany.

People often fail to speak up when they should.

We don’t always have to speak up and oppose every error.  Jesus didn’t.

But often we should speak up. Jesus often did.

It is worthwhile sorting out in our minds why we don’t when we should.  It’s often some combination of fear and ignorance.  We are not really sure what to say.  We may be disliked, even opposed, for speaking up.

But these impediments can and should be overcome.  Watch the following videos to see some effective advocacy in action.  They are short and well worth the time spent watching.

Here humor and simple arguments are used well to expose defects in socialism. Use humor when you can.  It is disarming.  It can make an argument or opinion easier to accept.  (Hollywood has been using humor for years to mainstream liberalism.)

Christians wonder if there is any relief when they see so many areas of life in which positions contrary to biblical teaching have not only taken root but flowered like weeds.

Christians are bothered by recent decisions of the United States Supreme Court.  It upheld ObamaCare in one case and redefined “marriage” in another. They are upset that the President won’t enforce certain laws passed by Congress (on immigration). They are upset that Congress won’t repeal others (ObamaCare).  A young woman in San Francisco was gunned down recently by someone in the country illegally.  He had been apprehended and then released. Family and friends mourn.
